Malaffi enables healthcare facilities, healthcare professionals, and government authorities across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to access and share patients’ medical information in order to deliver better healthcare quality, enhance patient safety, and improve overall health outcomes.
Since going live with their pilot in December 2021, Malaffi announced the addition of survey functionality into the patient portal specifically for long-term COVID-19 observations. The survey of COVID-19 patients will gather information regarding persistent symptoms as well as track these symptoms over time, using the data for further research. The survey will target a large population giving Malaffi access to a vital data pool.
The next iteration of Malaffi may include a call center for patient outreach in an effort to increase the data collected.
By providing instant access to the patient’s longitudinal medical file, Malaffi facilitates the making of better informed and more efficient clinical decisions, enhances coordination and transition of care, reduces
unnecessary duplication of tests and procedures, reduces the risk of medical error, and improves patient safety and experience.
As a centralised database of robust population health information, Malaffi informs and drives the DOH’s public health initiatives for a healthier Abu Dhabi.
